PACKAGING FINISHING
In plastic packaging printing, the final appearance and tactile feel of the packaging are heavily influenced by the finishing applied after printing. The two most common finishing options are glossy finishing and matte finishing.
- Glossy finishing provides a shiny, reflective surface that enhances color vibrancy and creates a premium, eye-catching appearance. It is commonly used for products that require strong shelf impact and a vibrant visual presentation.
- Matte finishing offers a smooth, non-reflective surface with a softer and more elegant look. It gives packaging a sophisticated feel while reducing glare and fingerprints.
- A single finishing type across the entire packaging design, either fully glossy or fully matte.
- A combination of both glossy and matte finishing on the same packaging. This mixed-finishing approach creates visual contrast and highlights selected design elements such as logos, product names, or graphic patterns, resulting in a more premium and distinctive packaging appearance.
